Time is the real goal of every new bussiness owner. The real reason we work is to have the time and money to do the important things. So before starting a bussiness of any type. Take the time to set your goals and the desired end result of that bussiness. If your goal is to only make a product. That is a little short sighted. Is your goal to provide a means to a greater end. Do you want to make money to perhaps help starving children in a forgotten nation. That is a good goal and one with a good reward. But at what cost. Bussiness is about bringing about a desired result in your life and the lives of your customer and also about bring to life good results or evil results. All bussiness activities actually will bring about short or long term results that will touch many lives.
Lets say you are married and your "wife or husband" are at arms length about the bussiness. This will creat a strain in your marriage. And actually the cost of starting the bussiness maybe to much to undertake at this point. Maybe one of you is older then the other and can't support the other as a result of youth. Are you willing to get a divorce to keep pushing the bussiness. It cost to seek things that are not supported by a wife or husband. A high cost also. So bussiness has to undertook as series of checks and balances. Each weighted out fully. If you are half of a relationship and the bussiness is your baby do not forget the seek imput from you better half. Also be willing to recieve blunt unput from them. You know speaking the truth should not bring offence. When a wife or husband is speaking to you they should be able to speak freely and be recieved in a loving manner. Even is they rub you the wrong way at times.
Also when you start a bussiness make sure you do not fall for the rat race lifestyle. A real bussiness is not a rat race life. It is slow and easy. If your bussiness is not slow and easy. Work to make it so. The long term is the future. To reduce stress is the real goal is any management system. As a bussiness owner you should not seek to live a stressed out existance. I am helping my brother build a new bussiness. It is interesting that as he has been jumping thru the rings of fire to meet his customers demands I have noticed a few things. Most of his stress is his own doing. His customers are not his main problem. His preception of there desire is his real problem. As a rule of thumb 10 percent of yout customers will produce 90 percent of your problems. FIRE THEM! And replace with better customers. Yes it can be done. I have done that in my Bussiness.
So you want to start a bussiness, do you have any older friends that can menter you. Wisdom is not really given it is sought out. Are you seeking wisdom or do you know it all at this point! Mentors will challange you and bring about better thinking and improve your skills. If you take a 80 year old man that build a million dollar company and now is setting on the porch with nothing to do. You bet you can learn from him. He most likly would be happy to help you learn somthings. Wisdom is worth alot. Understanding combined with wisdom can change the direction of nation and markets. So understanding and wisdom are to be gained. These come with great trials and time. It is better to get them second hand. As trials are costly and painful.
Example lets say you are going to manufactor something. And you have never manufactored a things. But you know a old man that retire that once want a complex that made a item close to what you are going to make. He may tell you. We once looked into making those and found out that we could not make them because of our zoning. You should have picked up from that that you need to look into the zoning of your property. And that cost a cup of coffee. A good return on a buck. I am in the add game myself. I have learned to look and lisen. To toss out a idea and watch for the returned information. That is what you do in mentoring.
