Ths SBA 8a application Timeline

It takes about 4 - 5 months to get your company certified.
The first step is to complete the application.  We help companies complete the application in about 3 weeks.
The second step is the SBA review for completeness.  This step the SBA has up to 15 days to complete but usually is less.
The third step is to complete any requests the SBA has from its review for completeness which they will give you a week or so to complete.
The fourth step is a waiting game, the SBA application will sit for up to 90 days before the SBA has to approve or deny it.  This step right now is taking about 60 - 70 days.
The next step is a response to the SBA for additional info from their review for approval or denial.  The will give you up to two weeks for this step.
Next you will wait usually three weeks for the SBA to actually send you the letter that gives the right to take a business plan to the local SBA office and get started as an 8a certified company.
I know this seams long but it is well worth it for most companies that get the certification.
