Imagine Being Handed $25,000 for Your Small Business!

What would you do to grow your business if you had an extra $25,000?  Gotcha thinking don't I? 

Well, you could win $25,000 for briefly telling your story through the Small Business United Grant Competition. 
The grant competition is sponsored by WIPP, Women Impacting Public Policy  and Intuit.  In addition to the money, the program offers free resources and software to small business owners.  

To enter the competition, just go to www.smallbusinessunited.com and share your story by April 24, 2009.  For entering, you'll receive the Intuit Small Business Word of Mouth Marketing Toolkit to help you promote your business.   

Finalists will be selected based on a combination of ratings from the Intuit community, quality and creativity.  The ratings will account for 40 percent of the overall score, then the judges will selct 50 finalists to receive a $5,000 grant and a Pure Digital Flip Video™ camcorder.  (The Flip Camera is really cool.)

The 50 finalists will be eligible to compete for the top grants by supplementing their story with a video that will be posted on the site for public viewing and rating.  The group will be narrowed down to four first prize winners, who will each receive $10,000 plus $2,500 worth of Intuit products in addition to their finalist grants and awards.  The grand prize winner will receive an additional $25,000 and $2,500 worth of Intuit products and services.  First prize winners as well as the grand prize winner will be announced in June.
