“User name” is the name you'll use when you sign in to Smallbiz Central.
Many people use their first and last names (e.g. Susan Solovic) or aliases (e.g. Atlantis)
Your user name is not displayed publicly on Smallbiz Central.
Instead, Smallbiz Central uses your First and Last names to identify you on the website.
Note that you'll enter your First and Last name in the fields immediately following the Time zone
(a little further down this SignUp form.)

A “Password” ensures that your profile information on Smallbiz Central is secure and reliable.
Choose a password you'll remember.
The password should be at least 3 characters in length and may contain any of the following:
- a lowercase alphabet letter
- an uppercase alphabet letter
- a numeric digit (0-9)
- on of these special characters: ! @ # $ % ^
For example: Garden30, !mushu0, crazy, $yell%
Password masking
To protect your privacy, it is standard practice on websites to “mask” your password as you enter it.
This means that as you type each password character, it is represented in the Password field as a single ●.
